Kevin received his undergraduate degree from Brown University in Providence, RI in 1974. His law degree was obtained, cum laude, from Indiana University at Bloomington in 1978. He has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 1979, practicing in all areas of Metro Atlanta.


After a short stint as an associate in a small downtown law firm Kevin spent several years as a sole practitioner providing legal services in many areas of the law. In 1991, Kevin and Bob Blackburn, along with 4 staff began the real estate oriented law firm last known as Blackburn, Walther Sloan & Adair which eventually expanded to 4 offices handling over 5,000 closings a year. He continued with that firm until 2008 when he left to again establish a solo practice which has now become Walther Law, LLC.


Kevin is a member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia and the bars of the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia and the U.S. Tax Court. He is also a member of the Real Property Law and Business Law Sections of the Georgia Bar, and the North Fulton County and Gwinnett County Bar Associations.

Jim received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky in 1996. His law degree was obtained from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 2000. He has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 2001, practicing throughout metro Atlanta.


Jim joined the law firm of Blackburn, Walther & Sloan in 2003 and transitioned to Walther Law in 2009. A member of the Real Property Section of the Georgia Bar, Jim’s practice is concentrated in the areas of residential and commercial real estate closings, Wills and Estates, and foreclosure and eviction actions.
